I have heard of putting something like peanut butter or something and freezing it. I havent got one yet though so Im not sure.

I stuff mine so that the contents are somewhat difficult to get out. I put something really tasty like beef lung in the narrow end and stuff the rest with dog food and/or treats, blocking the large end with a larger biscuit. I sometimes use a little peanut butter or cream cheese. The last time I gave Natalie a stuffed kong she was working on it for a good hour at least. Afterwards she was exhausted. LOL.

I also read a recommendation of stuffing the kong with a few cheese cubes and microwaving it for a couple of seconds to melt the cheese over kibble making it more difficult to get out. I haven't tried this yet but it sounds like a good idea.

If you're going to be giving them frequently, I would stuff them mostly with kibble adding a little something sticky to keep it inside with asmall extra special treat in the narrow end. If they clean it out too fast you can block the entrance with a larger treat. You can also add "flavor" to the kibble that will go inside the kong to make them more interested by refrigerating a small amount in a container or baggie with half of a hot dog. The next day you've got hot dog flavored kibble. You can just toss the hot dog in the garbage or save a little piece for the narrow end of the kong.

I use peanut butter, yogurt, carrots, green beans, wheat germ. Freeze the filled kongs, and your dogs will have an hour or two to be occupied.

You could put some chedder cheese and ham in it and pack it quite hard so they work hard for it.

Maddi loves her kong too!

I usually take part of her breakfast (kibble/yogurt or kibble/canned food) and fill the kong with it. Then I seal it w/ peanut butter or canned food.

She does sometimes get special goodies in it as well :).

Yes I agree! They even sell a special kong biscuit but it is too small for the large hole and then just pop out.

I need to play around with it a little more to get him interested in it.
