It is just 6 months

I had to have my dear old German Shepherd down 6 months ago today.

It broke my heart, but I knew I had done the right thing.

She was the most annoying puppy - chewed everything in sight - became an adolescent puppy, and challenged me right and left.

She then became the most wonderful dog any-one could meet.

She guarded my children - she guarded me. She would put herself in front of anyone who approached that she saw as "suspicious". Not in a nasty way, just enough to show them .

I have cried today.

I miss her companionship - I miss her trust - I miss her!

My thoughts are with you as I know how you feel I had to have my old Borzoi of 13 years pts 6 years come Christmas eve and I still have a little cry now and again, it does get better with time and I try to think of all the happy times we had together he was a very special boy,. Bruno's mum posted a poem in Maria's thread I am heartbroken and this poem may help you come to terms with your loss.

Remember only the good times, forget all the bad..she is happy again and pain free and would only want you to be the same.
