I'm going to get him checked out by a vet next week, but I'm too anxious to wait, so hopefully someone here can help. Anyways, my dog has a bump right underneath his anus. It only sticks out a little bit when he's walking/running with his tail up, but other than that, you can't really see or feel it. I don't think it hurts because everytime I touch it, my dog doesn't seem to notice. Also, it is a very symmetrical lump. My friend told me it's supposed to be there on male dogs, but I just want to make sure.

Then phone up your vet, tell them your dog has a lump and you want it seen to NOW!!
You pay for the treatment, you call the shots.

I know dogs have glands by their rears that get "clogged"...some dogs drag their butts across the rug/floor when it gets real bad...but I think those are the sides of the tail, not under it. I guess the best thing to do is get to the vet....Have you tried calling to change your appt. to something sooner??

Hmm...a bump. Not real descriptive. I would have a vet look at it. Just saying bump could be so many thing. Hope it turns out alright! God bless!
