Increase # of pics allowed from 4 to ?

I love this forum and the way it is laid out, but there is one thing I would like to suggest:
An increase in the image limit for a post. It is currently at 4, and a lot of members, have had to post more than once to get all their images into a thread.

I think 6 is a reasonable number... anybody else agree? Or perhaps higher than 6?

Also, could the Smilies be excluded as images? That would help a lot as well;)

Personally I don't see why people need to post more than 4 (unless they have more than 4 dogs) and think this is fine.

Mahooli, are you aware that the image limit is also applied to smilies?

If a member wants to post 4 images, regardless of whether or not they have 1, 2, 3 or whatever # of dogs, and would also like to include some smilies in their post, they can't.

Haven't you seen posts where members have had to post 2 or 3 times in one thread?

Perhaps you don't have more than a total of 4 images including/excluding smilies for your average post....but there are many who do.

Would it really hurt to increase the limit to a more reasonable # so the majority of this forums members can benefit...I don't think so.

Mahooli I have five dogs but that is really beside the point . As me and shelby says it also applies to smilies. On the other forum you and I are on you are not limited to 4 pics and it doesn't seem to cause a problem there and I don't think it would cause one on here in fact I too think members will benefit from this.

Jake2006 I think what we're talking about is called "embedding" images...(correct me if I'm wrong Borzoi mad;)) Where the image is directly put into the post..just like the smilies...
Not links to images such as attachments....and your not dumb or stupid;)

I tend to agree about the smileys. I like to use them a lot and they help add mood, color and sometimes expression.

You can post more then 4 if you make one then one post. :)

Not sure why we can't, I have had to make more then one post in a trhead to show all the pics I wanted to add.

This is something our admin will have to look at and decide. :)

maybe you could use links to your pics instead of posting them? some people have slower comps and connections and it would take the page forever to load for them.

But then you would have to leave the page your viewing on the forum, just to view the pic...not really liking that idea, sorry.

Moderators and Administrators, please consider my request to increase the image limit from 4 to 6, it is a very small request and it would benefit and please many of this forums members...for those of us that like to view the images on one page without having to jump to or open any new windows/tabs.

I agree! This would help a lot. Yesterday I wanted to post pics of my baby Silvia's litter of pups. And I didn't know that there was a limit of pics. But when i made the new thread i soon found out! And I did add smilies but had to take them off my thread to make room for my pics to fit. I also had to make more than one post to add the number of images to show everyone on this forum my little puppies! This is a great idea, I hope ya'll consider this small change!

I saw your post yesterday PomeranianCrazy, soon after seeing how you had to post a few posts in your thread to get all your images in, I made the image increase suggestion. I've seen other posts having to do the same thing...I too have had to remove smilies from my post because of the limit.
