Hi,
I don't see any problem why you couldn't have a bulldog along with your yorkie/chi mix, although I would be careful to give the little one time out when he/she needs it simply because of the size issue :)
With bulldog being 8 months old already, these are the questions I would be asking... do you know the dog? Is it a rescue? Does it have any issues that may cause you or your existing dog problems? What's the temperament of your yorkie/chi? Do they like other dogs? And have the dogs met before?
If you introduce them sensitively and maybe crate train one or both of them then you should be fine.
Good Luck and let us know how you get on!

 If you are really that worried then I personally wouldn't bother....
None of us want to ever be in that position, hence all the stuff I put in about whether you know the dog or not.

if you were to get a bull dog i would get a puppy because bulldogs need to be brought up properly in a firm home to be able to be trusted

bullies are great dogs and if raised properly should be fine. my son had two and they were good with our little dogs and our big dogs. maybe you can take your little one to meet the bully and try some play dates first.
