No, spots on the tongue do not mean anything, it has to be ALL blue-black.
I am wondering about the brown on the coat though.
How old is Sissy and how much does she weigh?

Sissy is 13 months old! And I'm not to sure on the weight. I'm saying about 30lbs, thats a guess tho! It may be more or less!

Looks full lab to me. brown can just be the way the light is hitting her. My old rabbit was as black as night, but in light she looked a bit brown also. I see no pittbull at all.

There's something about her muzzle and the set of her eyes, perhaps the "stop" that makes me think of something other than just lab. But i couldn't begin to narrow it down.

Wait a minute! 13 months and 30 lbs? Sounds way too small to be a Lab. A Labby would be about twice that weight. How tall is she? Like can you get a yardstick and measure her height?

Labs and goldens can have spots on their tongues and be pure bred. She looks lab.I don't see any chow,in her.How big is she?Do you have a pictures of her, standing.L

Her tail doesn't look like a lab. We have two purebred labs and there tails are way different. Sissy doesn't have that short otter tail like a lab should have!

She's about 17 to 18 inches

well, i've known a purebred lab to have a skinny tail...too bad she loved water. I know she was purebred because her owner was a breeder and he really looked into the dogs he bred, but you never really know with dogs. Haha.

She looks like she's got a whole lotta Lab in her but her size & height is way off. She's too short & a little on the lean side structurewise too (not to mention 30 pounds). I'm going to guess that she's a Lab x Labmix. There was a feisty little Grandma or Grandpa dog running through the neighborhood of Labs.

Full lab from me too. :) To be chow. I believe their toungue must be all that colour. I see hers is only black spotted. :)

There is something about that nose too that makes me think something else....maybe a shepherd...it just looks a little too long and thin at the end for a full lab. I am trying to imagine her with her ears up :p I think if I saw one ear up with a profile shot I would be able to tell.

Actually that dog looks exactly like Black Lab/ German Shepherd mixes I have seen. The black color wins out, and the build and snout are more "delicate" than that of a Labby.

I personally dont see pit at all! She looks like all lab to me too! It is possable she just pulled out some brown pigment as some color.. cause labs come in brown too Lol. I Dunno, I Dont see chow or pit!

Sissy looks 100% Labrador to me.

She actually reminds me of a black version of my neighbor's yellow girl, Gunner, who I was told was purchased from a great breeder.

Could be a chow as I do see the tongue. However- I agree with brunosmom- I do not see any pit either. Although chows have a heavier coat- that much lab is obvious.. ( maybe chow as grandparent??? lol ) Its too wide across the back skull for pitt- and the jaw isnt hinged low enough either for pitt.
