Hello Admin :),
After we create a thread, I know we can "edit" the content of our post, but is it also possible to "edit" the title of our thread?

If not, would it be okay if I made this a suggestion in the "Site Suggestions" section?

I believe only Directors and Admin can edit the title of a thread. Requests can be made through us to edit, unless of course I am mistaken. :)

You should be able to double click near but not on the title of any thread you created to edit it. This can be accomplished when browsing to the thread in the appropriate forum (for example, viewing the tech issues forum for this thread) and when viewing the New Posts page. It does not work when viewing subscribed threads in your User CP. Give that a shot and see if it works for you.

I'm not sure if I follow Taeric...I meant after submitting a thread I've created, can I at anytime make changes to the title? I think the answer is "no", because I looked for a link/option to do so and the only thing I can do is edit the body of the thread via the "Edit" button on the page of the thread.

Are we talking of the same thing?

I just made a post at http://www.dogforum.org/showthread.php?p=45053#post45053
and just realized I made a typo in the title...it should say Something not Soemthing...
since I can't fix it admin, would you mind making the change please?

You can ? That's slick !

I think he means to go to a thread you have already created and double click near the title but do not put your cursor right over top. You should be able to edit the title that way.

Yes, I know, go to a thread I already created, but what you guys didn't mention, of which I just figured out, is that after clicking on the "Edit" link for my post I then have to click on the "Go Advanced" button.

Problem solved; thanks for trying to help though;) Now I can make a few changes to my thread titles with ease...especially that last one where I misspelled "Something" and put "Soemthing" , lol.

Actually that is not what we meant but you can do it that way too. :)

You do not need to open your thread you just need to go to the title and before you open it click twice close to the title but not on it. You can edit it this way. It is a cool way of doing it too and I never knew you could do it that way. Nifty, thanks Taeric, learnt something new. :)

Okay, I'm a little lost, you guys need to be a little more specific with me, because here is what I did, and it doesn't work.

I located my post in the forum section I put it in (not my User Control Panel).
I placed my cursor near the title text and double clicked...all that happened was the "title" became highlighted in blue (indicating selected text) and that is is...what do I do from there?I really want to know how to do this...it just isn't working though.

I did the "Go Advanced" way, but that only changes the title "within" the thread itself, not for the forum.

Please be patient with me, thanks!;)

It is working, just type a title now in that box.... or maybe you can't do that and only we can. Taeric ?

I think that is why it isn't working for me, there isn't a box or anything popping/opening up...I guess this is something permitted by Admin/Mods only...

Thank you for the help. I tend to add pictures to threads instead of opening an new one. Like " kill the brother" has had several videos added- but I havent changed the title to update post whatever..
