dogluver4 , some info on sibes as you aern't able to get our pm's to read
siberian huskies are very hunt orientated , so will chase everything , not wise to let them off leash unless in a secure area , fenced in preferrably. can be escape artists , dig under fencing , be destructiuve if bored or left all alone for periods of time. I find its better to have 2 sibes really for company when your out from home. Jump fences higher than 6 ft too. not all sibes jump fences though. They love everyone, very friendly , no good as a watchdog. shed their coats twice a year, which goes on for MONTHS. Best to exercise them in harness with a bike or rig or scooter, or go for a jog with them. fencing should really be 6 ft high, i protect my wooden fencing by putting mesh on top of it to protect from teeth & bury the base of fencing in concrete to avoid digging out. on the subject they LOVE TO DIG FOR THE FUN OF IT so we have a backgarden which is ALL CONCRETE & SLABS, cleaner this way too. Any more info just let me know.

i waited like years and years for a husky im so glad i finally got one. its worth it all the stories people say dont because they dig, they run a way but our dog is so well behaved he comes to us when called but he does dig dig dig but he only picks one spot but i love everysecond of having himand love him he is soo good . he is 6 months old im sure he will want to run one of these days but we excersize him alot and keep him buzy in obeidice classes and agility. he loves it.
People always say that Huskies are not Guard dogs, as they meet and greet other people just as if they were best buddies, but our Mocha is much different. We adopted her from a local shelter, and from day one she loved us to bits- and became very protective as well. We don’t praise her for such behavior, because we don’t wish to feed to her aggressions, thinking that they are what we want.
We bought a ‘Beware of dog’ sign just to warn people of her when they come on to the property, for just because she looks so pretty and hyper doesn’t mean she is a fairy to strangers. One night, about 8 o’clock, a knock was heard on the door. Immediately Mocha ran to the door- hackles raised and acting like a savage monster. Good thing both the screen door and the big wooden door were closed, because I fear she may have attacked the sales person on the other side!. My fiancé had to answer the door as I held on to and comforted Mocha who whined and whined, pulling to free herself of my grasp on her harness. She wanted at this man, and that was that. This was the first, and last time I have ever seen her do this. Perhaps she had a bad feeling about him- and I agreed with her. We told the man no solicitors and closed the door, and Mocha relaxed once she sensed he was off the property.
She is also aggressive toward other dogs that wander too close to the property- even if people are walking them. If I am walking her, on the other hand, she usually ignores all of the other dogs unless it makes a threat toward us. Sometimes she gets excited and hyper when we pass other dog walkers as well, but sometimes she gets overwhelmed and protective.
People we know have never had a problem with her behavior before. She has never even acted out toward anyone who is friends or family. Closest thing is jumping straight vertical close to, even more than 6 feet in the air with excitement. If we are away, friends and family come over regularly to visit Mocha, keep her company, even eat lunch with her if we are gone to a doctors app (Which, lately, is very regular) and no one has ever reported any aggressive behavior. I am guessing she has a strong sense for people, and reads them very carefully, because to the trespassers she is very stand-offish.

MOJO THIS IS countryside here Lisa is my name i have a 6 month old siberian huskyhis name is wolf . now when i got him got him at 7 weeks one week early from his proper time to take home from his mom. but his first experience with a stranger to my mistake was at holloween time i wasnt evne thinkging but i took him to see my daughter friend one was dressed up like a deviil well he was so traumatized he peed allover and screemed . so bad he was scared of people ever since then . ive taken him to puppy kindergarden he iw way way better now , and he is going to obeideince class too and the trainer says he has come a long long way . he now greets other people .but to this day iits like if he gets overwhlemed with a bunch of kids over some times he like gets all excited and like kindof play or fear bites a little not hard but he puts his teeth lightly on the kids hands but hten licks them ups and wags his tails and rolls on his back but to me it is so hard to read what he is actually doing like is he playing or is he still over whelmed . but if the kids wait like a few minutes he calms right down then wont stop bugging us and wants kisses and hugs. but he still i think has that stranger fear from way back. wehn he saw the holloween outfits. i also notice when he gets his shots he is the biggest baby of all dogs the vets say that huskies are very vocal and very much babies to harsh loud noises or just being over stimulated? I love him to bits. but some times he is hard to read . lol lisa
Yes, Mocha tries to do nothing but please us. And when it comes to protecting us, she is no pansy. Not saying we need protection- but she disagrees! Lol.

OOOO! She is part wolf! :o
I would say she was a Huskamute rather than part wolf. She has Malamute muzzel and ears and her body is much larger than that of a wolf/husky. I think you have yourself a Malamute/Husky:)

Me too! They're so cool. And that's Barney, my brother's big lab - asleep. They're always causing trouble together - very much like my brother and I when we were little. Playing during naptime, etc... I find that funny.
