Hi there!

Please help us figure out what this puppy is. He "adopted" us on Monday showing up in our yard cold and half starved. We took him to the vet today to get all his shots, and dewormed, etc. He weighted about 26 lbs and is 16 inches tall (from shoulder to toe), and 18 inches long (from shoulder to the base of his tail). The vet said he is guessing the pup is about 4 months old. He is very sweet natured and friendly. Thank-you so much for your help with his identification. Please see all his attached pictures.

Hi and welcome to the forum from me and my gang.

What a cute little fellow. Looks like a staffie or a staffie Cross to me but no matter what he is cute. Good luck with him.

What a handsome boy! Such nice brindling. I'm glad you've taken him in. I agree that he's some kind of Staffy cross. He will be loyal, sweet and devoted, if you treat him right. I hope we get to see him put on weight and grow!

Holy cow he is thin ...poor guy  I can't believe how anyone can do that to an animal  Thank Goodness he's found and "Adopted" you ...he looks so good natured & content, good for you

As far as breed staffie cross maybe pitty in there somewhere....did the vet have any guesses?

Well, clearly he's a brindle something. :) There's something off about his front feet though, they are big and splayed. He should put on some weight and bulk, I'm sure. He's beautiful all the same. Good luck! :)

Wow. He just 'Showed up'. Talk about the stork coming to town. How kind of you to take him into your home, and not just to dump him in a pound! What did you name the little fella?

ok...i thought i was the only one....trillian is about 6mo old...she has the same color brindle and white patch on her chest. She is tall and has big ol paws like him. Her face is a little longer, but our vet said she might be a fox-hound and a 2-3 generation pit....

Just wanted to weigh and agree with everyone! :p You are an angel for taking this boy in. And his brindle coat is so beautiful! Looks like a malnourished, underweight Staffie / Staffie cross. He probably should weigh more like 30-35 lbs, which means he will be about 60-70 lbs full grown. I know you are doing everything you can for this boy. But I have to ask, is he at all trained, like housetraining, or sit, stay etc? If not there is no time like the present as it is hard as heck to train a big strong dog when he is full grown.

What a cutie-pie! Hard to tell but he looks like a pittie or boxer cross to me.
