Mixing kibble is not necessarily a great idea. Depending on the different formulas and kcal amounts it is very easy to get the entire diet out of balance. The dog could be getting too much of one thing and not enough of another.
It is much better to pick one food and feed it for a couple of months, then rotate to the other, then later on to the other and so on. For a sensitive stomach dog you want to take several days to switch, some dogs are fine with switching cold turkey.

I agree with pittiegirl. Every kibble is different and shouldn't be mixed, but rotated.
And hyperness doesn't necessarily have anything to do with food lol... It could be the breed(s), the amount of exercise/play the dog gets, training, etc.

Try mixing the food you want to food with 1-2 spoonfuls of canned food or plain yogurt.

There is a myth that yogurt is bad for dogs, and not everyone knows yet that it's not true lol...

Well it is hard. There are some human foods that I never would have guessed are poisonous, like grapes for example.
Anyway, if your dog is hyper, make sure your dog gets enough exercise to get really tired. A tired dog is a happy dog. Although with some dogs it is nearly impossible to tire them out!

Yogurt sweetened with artifical sweetners IS bad for dogs. Plain, full fat, preferably organic yogurt is great for dogs.

Well, there shouldn't be, and if there is - don't buy that kind for the dog. I buy Stonyfield Farm Organic Plain
Ingredients: CULTURED PASTEURIZED ORGANIC WHOLE MILK, INULIN, PECTIN. CONTAINS: SIX LIVE ACTIVE CULTURES INCLUDING: L. ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, L. CASEI, AND L. REUTERI.
The active cultures are what benefits the dog. Yogurt is particularly beneficial if a dog is on antibiotics for anything, the antibiotics tend to kill off all the good bacteria along with all the bad, so you’re helping to replace that. A lot of people chose to feed yogurt daily for the digestive benefit of the live cultures.

^ OMG that is the kind I just bought last week! I grabbed one of those big containers of it... I put a couple spoonfuls in the dogs' kongs and freeze it... It's like doggy ice cream!

yes i agree. my dog is so hard to tire out! around 6 p.m i take her on a 10 minute walk and we run the whole time! early in the day when its still sunny out lady runs around my uncles yard. he has a large yard. usually that tires her out when shes trying to catch all the lizards down there. LOL.
i'll try to find some yogurt!:)

the reason is because i hurt my foot and i cant walk on it long.

Kelsiebug if you do not have the energy to run the whole time, try to find a way to get your dog to run while you rest, like fetch, wrestle or play with other dogs. I cannot keep up with my dogs, but if I kick the ball or throw a frisbee they get more exercise than I do.
