Anal secretion

my 1 1/2 year old puppy recently secreted a small clear discharge from her anus. does anyone know what this might be? she also quite constantly nibbles her coat near her tail, rear upper legs, and also near her anus. could this be fleas ?

Is she also dragging her bottom across the floor ? if so perhaps her anal glands need cleaning out. A trip to the vet for this if like me you can't do it yourself. I was alway frightened I would squeeze the wrong bit and hut my dog. Hope this helps.

Yes i d go to the vets too. I wouldn't attempt it cos iv'e a sensitive nose LOL

It has to be one of the messiest things you can do with your dog, but unfortunately necessary. I cant afford to go to the vets for it, so i put vicks under my nose (cant smell a thing then) and take care of it whilst im bathing them. it goes down the drain and the smell with it lol
