This is my APHA registered mare Royal Fame.

I just green broke her last summer and have left her to grow over the winhter. She is doing very well and as soon it warms I will get ehr going again. She turns 4 this May, we bought her when she was a yearling. ( we have a thing for young horses ;) ) She has full paint papers, it is hard to see but she has white patches on her stomach. Unlike Tia who is a solid paint horse and Tia is registered Breed Stock, she's still a paint horse but can not compete against full papered paint that have colour.

Anyway, I am hoping to show this horse amateur this year, time permitting.

I am going to start her training again very soon If the weather is nice tomorrow I may get on her again. I like to have someone here when I am training a young horse in the arena just in case but she has been very good and I am not planing on riding for long just about 20 minutes, that is all a youngster can absorb. I started her last summer and rode her very lightly in the arena only but I would like to get her responding better to rein cues so I can take her out with some older horses. Until then we ride in the arena.

;)

Oh she is lovely! I like the chesnut. Do you plan on breeding her? I bet she would throw some great patterned horses! Is she Sabino? I love her facial markings! and is that a palamino in the Backgound :D I love palaminos!

I am an Equine Emphasis Major at Virginia Tech....we woked with training horses last semester and it was a blast! I can't ait till I can it with my own horses in the future (I hope, hope, hope :p ) This semester we are putting a mare through gestation...lol, and this is alot of fun too.

LOL.... :)

Fame is a Overo Sabino paint :) and yes she will be bred but not this year. I have a gorgeous stallion picked out for her already. She does not have palomino but she does have red dun in her background, her sire is a red dun. Her Sabino gene is what is throwing that flaxen mane, my older mare is also a Sabino and has the flaxen mane too, seems to come with sabino chestnut and frankly it is my fave colouring ---- chestnut with loads of chrome and flaxen mane and tail. :D
