i think thats just silly lol but i do know how annoying it is, our neighbors have a pack of hunting hounds that are kept in an outdoor kennel at all times(there is shelter but i still dont think its right) but when they start barking (all 6 or so of them) it gets my dogs going, and starts a chain reaction across the whole neighborhood LOL and my dogs have really loud annoying barks so it gets on my nerves lol but hey they are dogs, they will bark its just what they do.

LOL, I wanna know who is running the time clock in my neighborhood ... we need a clock monitor.
But hey, Ozzy says that gives him an additional 25 minutes at a time to annoy the neighbors & bark back at their dogs who are at it almost non-stop. I give him a solid 5 minutes to shut up before I intercede & make him stop or he has to come in the house.

Gee, I wonder if they have something like that in place where I am.
Actually, there isn't any excessive barking going on a lot in our neighborhood...maybe once in awhile, like early in the morning (worst time, of course ) the "T-Rex" golden retriever is out barking..ugh, so annoying.
30 mins is kind of a long time, isn't it?...especially if some of the neighbors have children that are napping...that's when the barking surpasses annoying and becomes frustrating/aggravating.

30 minutes would be too long for me but I can't imagine them being able to enforce anything less than that & actually I wonder how successful they'll be enforcing this as it stands.

Here's a funny scenario:
Neighbor dog starts barking...it goes on for 20 mins. then stops for 20 mins...then starts again, for 20 mins...then stops for another 20...then, you guessed it, starts barking for another 20 mins....
See a pattern? :D
You can call and complain that the dog is barking, but the owner of that barking dog could just as well say it wasn't, unless you have kind neighbors who are willing to back you up on it...does the law require that you provide some sort of proof that the dog was barking?
I don't know about this whole thing, sounds like it may not work very well.

I would think that an officer wouldn't be willing to stand around for a full 30 minutes to see if the dog continued to bark. But, I can see people outside with their video cameras spying on the neighbor's annoying dog. Sounds pretty messy to me.

wow wonder how that will work then :wtf:
A former neighbour left her spitz/sheltie mix out all day and that dog was bored and lonely. She barked all day - I was home trying to study for exams most of the time. Poor thing barked so much that by the end of the day she could barely bark.

I love living in the country. I live on 6 acres and Max is mainly inside - so no one could even hear him barking. I did have one neighbor comment on my 5 year old son's screaming in our yard though. He just likes to let off some steam and he's not allowed to scream inside! ;)
