Just a tip.. ADD MORE PEOPLE NOW!!! while it is calm..
this cause.. umm.. on the forum where I work, we were four to start with and now we have so much to do that we havent really have time to train new ones and there is always people leaving etc etc etc.. Umm so in case this would grow, or anyone leave, or vacation time, sickness.. add a couple of more.. We have 50 000 regestered members.. thank god only around 300 is active out of those, almost 3 mill kids every month that goes there to play. Belive me.. If things hit the fan you will need people.. Right now I should be working 12-13 hours a day, then I got Mann and then I found this place..
*lol* but just a tip for you guys cause belive me, it can become an ENOURMUS workload if you are unlucky and after that it is not the same thing anymore.

We only add as needed and at this point we do not require anymore. As the site grow more will be added.

2 new mods were just added the other day ... congrats Tom & Jean ... but I have to go on record here as saying that even before the new mods were added, the mods & admin were doing an AMAZING JOB of keeping up with the forum (best job I've seen yet especially with a forum this size) ... I know the extra help will make things even better (and probably a lot less work for the older mods).

I also think all were working well from the beginning of my joining, never had any problems like some other places I quit. Some do get hectic because kids get on with some of their antics, but none here Doberman's is doing a great job.

Yes im my experience there are two things that are important to have a great forum-good members and good moderators. We want to keep it a friendly place where everyone can feel comfortable and welcome. It is ok to disagree as long as you take care to word your post in such a way as not to direct anything personally.

No I am not saying they are not doing their job.. I am in total love with this place.. Just saying that they might have one or two extra in the backpocket. :D So nothing bad can ever happen..

This little forum is one of the most can you say cosy?? places online I have ever bumped into. I love it!! :wubsmiley: and I never want it to change.

People will always disagree, that's life. Posts can be misinterpreted because they don't have the benefit of face to face non-verbal communication - you can say something which can be literally taken as offensive. Face to face communication would be accompanied by a smile, shrug of the shoulders whatever.

A little knowledge is dangerous too so you have to be careful that opinions are just that.

People come from different cultures, social classes (oh I hate that phrase) so we won't always see eyeball to eyeball.

The end!

I asked Dobe about this yesterday. Funny I missed the nominations and things. But she said that she didn't need any more right now. =(
