View Full Version : Sore on neck
just noticed a couple of days ago that fudge had a scab on her neck at the side, bathed it with warm water an her fur came out, it looks yellowish runny, not sure how shes done it, caught her scatching there a few times, iv bought some ointment from the pet shop, any ideas please.

That sounds suspiciously like a hot spot. If so, you need to keep the area as dry as possible and keep the pup from scratching it. They have a nasty habit of spreading very quickly (it itches, so the dog scratches it, so it gets bigger and itchier, etc.) If they get bad enough, antiobiotics are necessary, but they aren't a very big problem if you catch them early.
iv kept it dry but iv just noticed that it has spread a bit further, i think i may take her to the vets.
