:D:D:D:D

Yes food.

I have some ground bison burger ( it's like beef ) and I want to make meatballs with it. What is everyone's best way of making them ? I am going to make sweet and sour sauce for them. :)

Recipes for meatballs please. :D

I use a recipe very similar to Monkey's. In mine, since I grind my own meat, I grind the onion up with the meat (I use all pork, or bison and pork). Since your bison is already ground, I would grate the onion and add it to the meat. Your bison is probably very, very lean. You may want to add a little fat. The breadcrumbs will help as a fat replacer. Sometimes, I make the meatballs about the size of a large egg, slightly flattened, and serve them with pan gravy, or make mushroom gravy with the drippings.

I have just been informed from a reliable source that recipes are NOT copyright protected!
So here without further ado is a recpie from the 1956 Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book called
"Silver Dollar Hamburgers Meatballs," because they are miniature.
My sister sent me this by email just before I got married. Someone was supposed to make them (me?) for our reception at home but no one ever did. If you decide to make them, let me know how they come out. :D

Meatballs (see recipe below)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 12 oz bottle Chili Sauce
1 10 oz jar Grape Jelly

Meatballs:
1 pound ground beef (or whatever bovine) animal
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/4 cup)
1 egg

Prepare meatballs, adding parsley before mixing ingredients and shape into 1-inch balls. Cook meatballs in skillet over medium heat 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown. Remove meatballs from skillet and drain. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet, stirring constantly, until jelly is melted. Add meatballs and stir until coated. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Serve hot with toothpicks. Makes about 5 dozen.
(Thanks, Tom!)

It gets better....
after I posted about not being able to post it for fear of violating copyright, vagreys informed me that recipes are NOT copyrighted. As long as you do not copy and paste and maintaing font, appearance etc you are ok. So I changed the wording (and took out "Heinz" chili sauce and "Welch's" grape jelly) to be able to psot, and apparently Tom had been looking for the source of that recipe for a while.
Talk about coincidence!!
