If you want to post pictures, you have several options:

1) From your computer
When you start a New Thread or post a reply, make sure that you have clicked the "go advanced" button below the text box. Then either click on the little paperclip icon above the text field OR the "manage attachments" button below the text field to get a popup box. The box will let you browse your computer for images. You can attach up to four, and there are some size limitations. If you do it this way, your pics will show up as thumbnails in your posts and when people click on them they will appear full size.

2) From the Dogforum.org gallery
First upload your pics into the gallery. All you have to do is go here
http://www.dogforum.org/gallery/uploadphoto.php
and start uploading to create your own gallery.
Once you have pics there, go to the "gallery" page by clicking the word "Gallery" (should be about under the "M" in "Dogforum" all the way at the top. When you view your pics you will see some lines of code below them.
Find the box that says "UBB Code," copy what is in there and paste it into your post. When you preview or submit, the picture will be visible.
If you use the paste picture icon with the pop-up for entering the code, be careful that only the code from the gallery is in the pop-up. Do NOT leave the "http: / /" and add the code to it. Otherwise you will end up with something like
"http: / / http: / / www. dogforum. org/ gallery/data/500/medium/xxx.JPG " and instead of seeing the image, you will see this: http://http://http://www.dogforum.org/gallery/data/500/medium/DSC00986.JPG. If that happens, edit your post to remove the "http: //http://" from the beginning and the "" from the end.

3) From your Dogforum.org album
First upload your pics into your album. Starting from your profile page, look for the box on the right that says "Albums." If you don't already have one, you can create one and give it a Title.
http://www.dogforum.org/album.php?do=addalbum
Once you've done that, you can upload pictures to it. When you view the pictures full size (not as thumbnails) you'll see the "BB Code" (which is very similar to the "UBB Code" in the gallery) that you need to copy and paste into a post.

4) From an external site
If you use some external site like Photobucket, you should be able to find code for each image that begins with and ends with . Copy and paste that into your post. Do not use the little image icon and paste in the code, otherwise you'll get the http:// twice and the image won't show up.

scottyo if you have Microsoft Windows you can use "paint" to save your bmp as a jpg.
And if it is STILL too big you can go to this site
http://www.resize2mail.com/
it will resize it online for you if you cannot do it on your PC.

When I take photos and right click from email I send them to I save picture as, name it and use jpg. Save to your pictures on your pc. Then on Dog Forum, click Gallery up on top of page, then upload, when it comes up copy and paste it if your sending it to a reply or just let it in the gallery. Jpg should not be tooo large. Anything else might be. try that .

Where is the Go Advanced button near Reply to Thread?

There are two buttons under the text box where you type in your post. The one on the left is "Post Quick Reply" and the one on the right is "Go Advanced."
