Here's my girl Zena, she is now 9months old and just recently been desexed,I believe she had a hard begining to her life.Zena came into our life one day when i was minding my own business in the pet shop buying stuff for Jack <---the love of Zena's life now, my children saw an add on the wall of the pet shop.''Free to good home'' 5month old golden retriever female pup.my kids were writing the phone number down and were also doing the usual pleading thing...I said ring the lady thinking the pup would be gone..the next thing I knew that lady was on my door step with Zena..She was in a sorry state when I got her,a obvious gash to her forehead, she had fleas, and she was extremely skittish, nervous although extremely lovely and so excited about being intorduced to Jack too. That was 4months ago now,she is still a little skittish but has No fleas lolololand .She is adorable too and has this look she gives sometime like when youve found that she's dug a hole..she will sit near the hole..with a look on her face like 'What I didnt do anything ..blame Jack'.I will give you the details I found out about her time spent at her previous owners home in another post this is getting long.

I agree, beautiful dog. It sounds like you've been doing a great job so far with her. I'm sure she'll have a very happy life with you and your family. Shame such a pretty thing as her should've had that start.
Why did the previous owner give her up? Seems like such a sweet dog!

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e76/dabellypuppydogs/BucketBrainPhoto004.jpg This is a pic of Zena after she had been desexed and had a bucket on her head so she wouldnt try and rip out those stitches..As I said previous in a past post..we saw an add in the local pet shop..and rang the lady who ''owned'' her. It was actually her son who had brought Zena and this son was in a wheelchair..heres my thinking------> guy in wheelchair thinks cute little golden retriever pup with no training could gently take him for a ride around the block in his wheelchair.Well that wasnt so with Zena she would have dragged him around the block in that wheelchair,,she;s a puppy,I also had to ring the vet that she had previously been to in order to get her microchip number and other details I wanted to know about her,,and I found out that at 6weeks of age Zena was thrown into a swimming pool, she got infected ears and mouth...so the vet report said..it also said that the dog -Zena was extremely skittish..And as I also said in the first post about when Zena arrived at our place,,she had two gash's on her forehead and flea's..and I also didnt meantion she came with worms too...
