We had good luck with enrolling our pup in a puppy class. It was a pretty good mixture of instruction and socialization. I would hesitate to let a 10 week old have too much public exposure, though, until she has had a sufficient amount of vaccinations.

I agree with the above poster. Puppy classes are a great way to socialize your puppy and some trainers even offer separate "puppy social groups" which I think are very beneficial. Having a several gatherings at your home with friends and family is another great, yet safe way to socialize your puppy with a variety of people.

I have found that socialising at an early age (after 13 weeks) has been an essential part of teaching our puppy. In the past I have had been exposed to many dogs that were never really socialised as young pups and it's makes a dramatic difference to their behaviour.

An best of all puppy classes are a good way to get rid of some energy :)

Also, you'll want to socialize her to everyting, not just puppies (though thats is a great way to socialize her to other dogs AND people). You also want her to meet older dogs of all sizes and people of all sizes, ages, gender, and ethnicity. Make sure that any dogs she meets are SUPER puppy friendly, anything bad done to her right now could make her fearful of that situation for the rest of her life unless you resocialize (which is a lot harder) her to it.

I would call your vet, just to be sure, that she can be out and about that much as well; you don't want her getting sick.
