They are beautiful !!
I realise they are a relatively new breed of dog that is working towards recognition and being from Australia I do not have much knowledge of the breed and I was wondering what breeds actually went into producing your lovely fur babies when they first started this lovely looking breed

The breed started out in the late 1980s. Various different northern breeds were used for type & size these included the Siberian Husky & Alaskan Malmute, German Shepherd was also added for trainability. These dogs were carefully bred over several generations until they finally created the Northern Inuit, in the earlier years some of the origional breed were re-introduced into the breeding program in order to set certain traits & expand the gene pool. They have been bred pure (northern inuit to northern inuit only) for many generations now & type has been established.

Hope that helps. For more detailed info my website address in located in my profile.

Gorgeous Dogs. Both are very similar, are they related? What lines are your dogs from. I've got Utonagans and our dogs may be closely related. My dogs grandsire and great grandsire are Olderhill lines, also Mahlek and Redkite.

No their not related. I'm hoping to mate them this season (which hopefully is due anytime now). Misty has no affix but her parent's were both Mahlek bred. Angel is Molinka bred. I have been waiting for a particular mating from one breeder for almost 2 years! The bitch is finally due to have her pups in 2 weeks (getting really excited) she will be Shadowlands breeding. I'm hoping for eather another red or a silver.

Wow look at that they may be distant cousins!
My 2 have got Mahlek Neisha of Olderhill and Mahlek Manatu in their lines.
Small world isn't it lol
Hope the puppy is everything you want and good luck with the mating. I'm sure their puppies will be stunning. Remember to post some pics if you can :) of your new puppy and your litter when the time comes :)

Out of curiosity what relation is Mahlek Manatu to your dogs, he is the sire to my friends dog but she never met him and shes been searching fo siblings for ages with no luck.

Hi Aurora
Manatu is great great grandsire to my 2.on our pedigree he is sire to Mahlek Neisha of Olderhill (198), she is dam to Olderhill Black Falcon @Redkite (202). I think thats right!! I think the registeration numbers are registered Utes not NI.
