I have a 7 year old Jack Russel that some how sustained a very weird injury that seems to be painless! I opened the back sliding glass door of our home when she bolted after a squirrel. She almost got it but then began limping. When she came in her toenail on her right toe was at a right angle to her foot and felt almost free floating. There was no blood or pain to the touch. I do not think her toe was broken. Her toenail appears to be the only thing that is free floating. She was having trouble walking on it because of that so I put the toe nail in the anatomically correct position and wrapped her foot in gauze. You can barely tell a difference in her now as she is running all over the place. I plan to take her to the vet on Teusday, but wondered what some people on here might think. I appreciate all reply's in advance.

Sounds like you have done a good job but, I would also have her checked out at the vet. Better to be on the safe side. Let us know what he says.

Thanks for the reply I will let everyone know what happens. If anyone else has had a similar experience, we would love to hear about it.
