Just wondering if there are any siberian husky owners on this site. Mocha is a cross, but unless someone tells you, you would never have guessed.

I own two Siberian Huskies. A red/white "Blaze Red" and a Black/White.
I hope to get pictures of my Mocha girlie up right away, I'm not on my home PC right now. I promise to take some brand spanky new ones after our jog when I get off work.
How old are your Huskies? Do they enjoy swimming by any chance?
When I jog with Mocha she goes to every extent not to step in puddles, nor does she drink out of them. I think it is very interesting, seeing as I watch other joggers go by with their dogs and they constantly stop to drink out of the gutters.

My female husky is 5 years and my male husky is 6 months! My male likes water, doesn't really jump in but likes it. Now on the other hand with my female she doesn't care for it at all. If she didn't have to drink water to live, then she wouldn't drink it at all! LOL :)

Hi mojo , i have 3 siberian huskies
suka --11 yrs
mishka--2 yrs
kavik-- 3 months
mishka & suka won't swim only paddle to half way up legs , kavik too young to know if he likes to swim or not .

I absolutely ADORE Huskies! Any husky breed will do! They are so wonderful!

I don't own Huskies but one of my best friends, Amy, own two beautiful Huskies! One red male named Nebo, one black female named Keva!

Beautiful pic. Muttlies!!!!!!! I don't own, own huskies but I take care of them everyday. They are a handful!!!! VERY loving though both of them...they love to give kisses!!!!:D One is grey/white and the other is a Blaze Red

Has your friend had her dogs since they were puppies? I got my dog in November when she was full grown. Her previous owner didn't really take care of her and she gave her to me because she thought that she was too hard to handle.
I've had no previous experience with huskies so it's been an interesting as well as challenging journey so far. I'd love to talk with all of you husky owners to become more knowledgable about these wonderful dogs and give Sydney everything she deserves.

I'm a new Huskey owner, I rescued Rylee from a family that didn't know what they were getting into... Rylee and I have a great relationship, however I'm having problems with her only when I buy her a pigs ear. She get aggressive, and even growls at me. She wants to protect what she thinks is hers..
Does anyone have any suggestions how I deal with this.
Should I let her be...should I show her whos boss...

Does she do this alot , as maybe she has got away with this in the past . we had a bitch sibe do this to us , she was a rescue, when she did this we got her neck scruff & in a growly voice said NO & took it from her so she knew we will take things from her anytime , after a few times doing this she stopped growling & we could take things from her , this was also when she had pigs ears. she would just give us a dirty look , but yes you are the boss.

agree with nikimoo.......we have had to do this with nanuk a few times.more so since getting kai....you should be able to take anything of your dog at any time.:)

We also run the Siberian Husky Welfare Association. So we have 2 foster dogs in just now too

wow my sister owned huskies, but she didnt exercise them enough, and they ran away and got hit by a car. they were good dogs though!!! :D :)

How beautifull they all are!! I was raised around huskys and absolutely love them! I would like to own a red husky some day but I am sooo busy with the new chow chow pupps and my aussie/heeler mix and also fostering that I just don't have the space or time right now but some day I will!!
