Tomato juice?!

sparky has rolled in something dead and rotting................she has had 2 baths and still reeks. someone suggested tomato juice???

Not sure. Tomato juice is recommended for when they get sprayed by skunks because the acid helps break down the oil. But plain old dead stuff? I don't think tomato juice has any special powers.

You might want to try this mixture to shampoo your dog:

Hi. If the smell you are trying to get rid of is putrefaction, then the skunk solution isn't going to help you much; and, neither will any of the other skunk remedies like tomato juice.

What you need is a good citrus dog shampoo, like Adams, and some lemons. Wash the dog with the shampoo, rinse and towel dry so the fur is still damp, but not dripping. Halve the lemons and rub them on the dog's coat, being careful to avoid the eyes. Rinse immediately with lukewarm water, and shampoo a second time.

This is what I did to remove dead sheep from my Weim. It worked for me.

LOL!!!! I was going to post about Rudy this morning, he rolled in something dead yesterday whiel we were out for a ride.

I just threw him in the tub and washed him with Mane and Tail shampoo. He smells like flowers now. LOL!!!! j/k.... Mane and Tail works well.

i use it then get some tea tree oil shampoo and shower it out. i do use rubber gloves;)

ugh, she smells so bad and she looks sad as nobody wants to get too close LOL ill head out to the pet shop and see what they have there in the way of citrussy stuff, thanks peeps :)
