You should have a forum for websites.
So people can share there sites and share sites that are interesting.
Alot of people would like a board for websites.

Good idea, Anna! A links board on the forum would be great! A place for members to post their dog related sites, other dog related links and perhaps sites where you can purchase certain dog products etc. :)

But then people might just join the forum to advertise their own site? If there was a board made just for sites etc, I think rules would have to be enforced in there...

how about some kind of rules like you have to have 50 posts before posting your website?

Please don't take this as a statement of rules or any such things but rather just as a general rule of thumb to consider prior to the site's Terms of Service being finalized.
In general, we will frown upon any links/posts that relate to sites that you or anyone you know stand to personally benefit from. This site isn't here to advertise or promote other websites.
On the other hand, it's is perfectly acceptable to link up sites as they relate to questions or issues on the site. For example, if someone asks for some great puppy toy ideas, links to manufacturer and/or store websites are extremely helpful and are encouraged. Something along the lines of a thread listing links to trusted dog suppy websites could be very useful to other members, again, as long as it's not a site you (and others you know) have a stake in. That would be an excellent idea for a FAQ once that FAQ section is up and running.
We'll have more formal language when the TOS are ready, but the intent will more or less match what I wrote above. We just need to strike a good balance between the growth of our own site versus linking up other sites that may be useful but divert traffic away from here.

maybe there would be more people looking and posting if there was a seperate bit with links to other sites that ppl might find interesting?
