"Humane Society agents on Wednesday were searching for a woman wanted for animal cruelty. Prosecutors said Maureen McLaughlin admitted killing 650 puppies, dogs, and cats by drowning them in a trash can.
McLaughlin recently told authorities she would fill a trash can with water, put the animals in a crate, and place the crate in the water."

after dozens of pets given to her by the rescue center disappeared WHY do they KEEP giving her animals?!?!?! this makes me so angry and sick....all those helpless animals!!!!! :( :( :(

Freaks... I do not understand. Why wold anyone want to kill a helpless animal ?

There are people in Alberta Canada going around shooting wild mustangs for the heck of it and leaving them to die in the wilderness. How sick is that ?

Hedrick said McLaughlin told them she got the animals from rescue groups and neighbors. She said she killed them because she didn't want them to languish in the animal-welfare system.
I think PETA has a couple of openings in NC...

This is by far one of the worst stories I've ever heard...what is wrong with people:mad: That woman is a real sicko...and obviously mentally disturbed. How in the world was she able to go on so long doing this, and just now after all these years she is caught? :mad::mad::mad:
