Northern Borzoi Champ Show This Sunday

Well we too have our first Championship Show since Crufts its Sunday 1st April, it is a Breed Club Show so it will be Borzois only don't know the entry figures as yet won't know till the day. Will take my camera and hopefully get lots of Borzoi pics to post when I get back. Then on 14 April we have another Champ show its Hound Association of Scoltand, So keep your fingers crossed we do well:) ..:cheers:

Whereabouts in Scotland is it - too far from Elgin I bet! Wish it was in Inverness, however, I know that would be a long way for you to travel!

Thanks Sandy but not holding my breath as the Judge breeds and likes small borzois so don't think we will do anything. Good Luck at Bath. Its a bit too far for us , when is it?

Likes small Borzois??? Then you need to move in the states! Especially with the coming of " Silkenwind hound" breed soon in the AKC, they want a size difference between the two. After all- while elegant, the dog is supposed to be big enough and powerful enough to take down a wolf.. ( tee hee..)

That is my point exactly Borzoimum. I don't think the small one's could do the job that they were bred for. Their jaws are too short and the body not powerful eniugh and not enough drive, as you say too small to bring down a wolf. This judge is an exception to the rule. Most like them bigger.

I think there is a whippet Championship show on too in my area this weekend. Unfortunately we are taking our daughter to the airport as she is off to Canada for 2 weeks, so wont be able to go and watch even.

Hope your daughter enjoys Canada. I was there two years ago visiting an old Uncle with my daughter and her partner and we really loved it . We spent th first week st my Uncles Home in a small town called Aliston and the next week we stayed at aHotel in Toronto, my Uncle came and stayed too.
