the story is, a family lost their "pitbull" it turned up at a dog shelter
the family found their family pet and the shelter told them before they could release the dog they had to pay to have him neutered which they did..
they turned up to collect their dog as promised and a family and a very happy releived dog stood outside to go home..then after 5/10 minutes the family came back into the centre i told staff they had changed their minds
and didnt want the dog.. staff explained this was a kill shelter and that their fully grown "pitbull" had little if any chance of getting out alive..they still walked away, with the dog crying and howling..this pic was took as he was being led back into the shelter as he watched his family walk away...:wtf:

Oh man, this short story gave me tears in my eyes. How can anyone be so heartless to just walk away from there pet, basicly a family member. This is just terrible! People like this just makes me sick!
I swear to creation this planet needs to be cleased of humans more than it does any breed of dog.

 Oh, I have bad, bad thoughts about what I wish for that family & others just like them ... best not be put into words.:swearing: Poor dog! He looks like an awesome dog. If we could only save them all from their own humans. Just makes me sick.
That does it. I hereby divorce myself from the human race. I've had enough.
Anyone calls me human... Imma bite him.
I refuse to be lumped in with .... those.

I don't see how anyone could do that to a dog. I think dogs are more advanced and more noble than humans in many ways.
that's horrible. I can't believe anyone would be that heartless...they're not humans...just monsters...

That's so cruel to do to a dog, or any animal for that matter! How could they just get his hopes up of going home and then desert him there again?! Ugh..

How could someone just abandon their dog like that
Just imagine what that poor dog was thinking/feeling as his family just turned and walked away.
If there's any retribution for animals at all this poor guy will find a new and better family that will love him forever and never, ever abandon him like that.
I can hope.

wth is wrong with people? Why would you go through all the effort to get him back and then decide in less than 10 minutes that you don't want him? While he's sitting next to you and looking at you adoringly, no less?
Where was this?? I'm going to go get that dog.

heres the info please get him if its not too late
Wishbone's clock is ticking. He can only be released to rescue. If you happen to know a rescue group who has room for him, please pass his information on. He's neutered and ready to go. Brooklyn AC&C is located at 2336 Linden Blvd.

Pretty sad story :( They said they changed their mind? There must be a better explanation than that for turning away their family dog...and who took the pic of their dog?
In any case...that is just an awful, very sad story :( How could they turn that poor dog away :(

they said they stood on the side walk for about 5/10 mins discussing then took the dog back in:mad:

That is absolutely horrible. I truly believe that some people do not have a conscience after hearing this story. Kinda related, but kind of not, there was a story on the news tonight of a chihuahua that had been thrown away in his carrier, buried under bags and bags of trash who chewed his way to freedom. Stories like these break my heart.

Wow... and how could they just... walk away? From a member of their family?

Aww... Now that made me well up. I love Stitch. He reminds me of all my dogs. Nasty destructo-matics who just needed a little love, understanding, guidance and self confidence.
"It's my family, I found it all by myself. It's little, a-and broken... but still good. Still good."
How can we claim to be the higher life form when we ... er... they (I forgot I was divorced from humanity there for a second. sorry.) ... do stuff like that?
It goes against the meaning of the word humanity doesn't it? Don't they get it?

Im sorry guys...
This story had a sad ending..
I emailed Marta last night, I should have called and woke her up...
This is how close we was on asving him:
"I just got you message and immediately called the hotline, but he was already dead. He was killed at 9am this morning. Terrible." She sent that email 11.02, I emailed her 4 am in the morning.....
At least he will be loved now in doggy heaven. Poor guy!
