i have a 5 almost 6 month old peke, and i notices hes sneezing a lot. I have taken care of one before and it never sneezed this much, is it normal for a pee to go into sneezing fits?

I really don't know ... but if it has just started, it could be the change in weather or allergies. If it continues or you see any other symptoms, I'd get your peke in to see a vet to be checked out.

Well, I'm glad the vet doesn't see any reason for alarm! I think some dogs, especially some of the shorter-nosed varieties, are more sensitive to their environment & the sneezing comes along with that.

well i cleaned the house and aired it out, and moved te birds to another room, and his sneezing is already cut down at least 25%, i guess ill have to move things round more to make both my pets comfy

Also, you could spray the house with febreeze allergen reducer. It says its safe for pets, but I would spray it when he's outside or in another room. Washing his bed once a week in hot water will kill some allergens.

Thanks :) I myself suffer from terrible allergies. I take 4 medicines in the morning, and during "peak" times, I have to take prescription bendryl just to sleep through the night :( I live by the Febreeze allergen reducer, and am always washing all the linens.
By the way, Miyuki, another thing I thought of is purchasing a non-allergenic cover for the bed. Depending on the size of the bed you can get a king size pillowcase or a twin size sheet and wrap it in it. Easier to wash and more effective.
