How many members are folding now?

We currently have six members who have submitted work for the team, and it sounds like we have several others who are actively working.

I'll be very happy when we hit ten active folders. I remember when the OCN team hit that milestone. We now have over 300 active folders scoring over 100,000 points per day on that team. While I don't expect out team here to get that large, we can still make a significant contribution to the project.

I " quit" the program last night, to give the computer a night off, and today I cant get the computer to restart. I have been trying to find a log in button on the pages etc, but to far- I can find it.. Any suggestions to get it to restart?

Check the default download location on your computer, or search for a directory simply called "work". The directory that holds the work directory will have the executable for the program. It's best to create a shortcut to that executable so you can apply various tweaks (called flags) to get the program to run more efficiently.

I don't know. I give my computer several breaks a day too. I usually shut down for walks with Ozzy and when I go out for any length of time, I turn off the computer.

I've done a lot of the supervillin projects, but the one I'm working on now is p1169_p1164_RIBO_H2C. It has only 250 frames, but each from is taking anywhere from 61m/frame down to about 14m/frame. So it has taken most of the week.

I am & the WU I just finished was too. Sitting on 1250/5000 on this 2nd one which seems to be going lots faster than the last one.

I just let mine run in the background...is that about right? It seems to go pretty fast and I see the icon pop up now and again.

I am on my 3rd WU and will be going to the fourth in three days :)

I'll have to remember to hook my comp right up when I get back home.

KatzNK9

I let mine run all the time my computer is on but I send my computer to standby when I'm gone for extended periods & turn it off at night & when I leave the house. Mine says, "attempting to get work packet" ... for the start of my 3rd WU.

How do you start a new WU? I finished my 1 one about an hour ago and now it just says waiting for core: step 236

Mine is going through the same process. Not sure yet ... looks like that part takes awhile.

That means one of two things. The first is that there is an issue with your Internet connection. If you can get to this site, that's most likely not it. The second is that one of the servers at Stanford is down. This happens fairly frequently due to maintenance, upgrades, and just plain ol' bad luck. About all you can do with that is wait. You can close down the client and start it back up again every once in a while. That sometimes can help jumpstart things, but don't hold your breath in case it is a server issue.

I finally got rolling along again ... now at 200/5000 on #3 WU
