He will chew on everything but his chew toys he has chew my shoes that i have had to get new ones as a matter of fact i dont have shoes at the moment!! He is insane!! And is making me that way too!!! I have had 4 new pairs of shoes since april!! Thats horrible isnt it?!?!?
Try keeping all your shoes and other things picked up off the floor that you don't want chewed (if possible.) There are products on the market that work for some dogs that's a taste deterrent, you can spray on furniture (make sure it won't stain, first.) To get your pup to chew on his toys, try rubbing peanut butter on them and playing with him using the toys. You can try teaching fetch to make them more interesting, and also get Kongs and other toys you can stuff treats in to make them fun! Good luck!!

Is the dog left loose when alone or unsupervised? Puppies are guaranteed to get into LOADS of trouble when they're not confined and let to roam the house unsupervised.
Yeah, crate training it always a good idea...(but when left alone for long periods, there should be a small area set up and gated with the crate left open for the pup. A bathroom or utility room is great for this.)

maybe you can tether him to you so that you can keep an eye on him whenever he is out of the crate

My Pippa (3mo white boxer puppy) is doing exactly the same thing. So far i've replaced 3 remote controls, my slippers and a few other bits and pieces.
Now i've found a way around it. EVERYTHING is out of reach. anything that she does find that she shouldn't have, i take it off her and give her one of her toys. she's getting the idea. Also, to make his toys a little more enticing, get the toy and rub it in your armpit for a bit (i know it sounds gross, but it will get your scent on it and this seems to fascinate puppies). Also, when you play with your baby, play with him with HIS toys, not household items.
They do get the idea eventually! lol
good luck !

You're not nuts! When Zirc was little he used to sleep on the dirty clothes I would leave on the floor ain front of my chest of drawers after undressing.
Remember, dogs do not comprehend the concept of something being "gross". :puke:

LOL....indeed you are right! Ive seen dogs chew up underwear, eat poop and happily lick their privates. :D
I wanted to put one of my shirts that smelled like me in his crate, but then I was afraid he'd think it was OK to chew any article of clothing that smelled like me. So I settled for the toy-in-the-armpit.:D

what helped with the puppies i had is tying up panti holes ( tights ) into knots and let him play with that..it gives them hours of fun and to make it more fun put the panti holes ( tights ) into the freazer and that will help with teething..

I did the freezer thing.:D I remembered when my kids were babes and teething they liked to chew on a frozen washcloth. I'd wet the cloth first, then freeze it. Baby pooch seems to like it too.
The armpit thing does work! He wouldnt touch his kong's, no matter what kind of treat I stuffed inside. But now that Ive rubbed it in my armpit, he happily chews it up. ;)
He seems to like soft stuff better than hard stuff as well. Youngest daughter gave him a little stuffed animal, and he's working doubletime to see what the stuffing looks like. Hasnt ripped it open yet....but Ive felt his little razor teeth....Im sure it wont be long.:D

Gosh, thanks for reminding me about the freezer! I guess it's been so long since little Stinky was a puppy that forgot.
I would take the rubber toys and keep putting them in the freezer. He seemed to like it, I guess it helped with teething pain.
