View Full Version : Odd behavior, not sure what it might be due to
Tikaani has acted oddly all day today. We went out hiking again today but since we've been back at the house all she's wanted to do is stay in her crate all day. She hasn't eaten ANY of her food and has been more "calm" than usual. She's got a really lightly runny nose and occassionally is drooling a little bit. She's drinking water still, but to me it seems a bit excessive (though she's always drank a lot of water). She ate a few treats I gave her, but other than that, has had no dogfood. :( I googled some of the symptoms but can't come up w/ anything conclusive.

Could she have eaten something bad? Does she have a sensitive tummy? Zoe sometimes gets into things. Even if it's not usually harmful, she has a sensitive tummy, so it makes her sick. She won't touch her dog food, she may or may not eat her treats. She's VERY quiet for the day. Also a tad grumpy. Runny nose and drooling seems to be common too, with her. Sounds like the same thing. Though, Zoe's tummy "squeaks" and gumbles, so that's how I know it's something she ate.
she doesn't have the rumbling/growling tummy. I just notice the odd behavior. She is sitting funny, like her tummy hurts/is uncomfortable though. I did just give her some wet food and she ate that so I'm a bit more at ease...but I can't feed her anything else b/c she's supposed to be getting spayed tomorrow and can't have anything else to eat this late.
My concern now is...she just went outside to go to the bathroom..and it was only a small bit of poo...but it was really...the best way to describe it is gooey. It looked like it was covered in snot? And it was only a very small bowel movement too

I would just be sure to tell the vet when you take her in tomorrow, have him check her out and make sure everything is ok to go ahead with the surgery...
well, it's 4am here...i JUST got back from the ER vet...and you'll never guess what happened....call it cruel irony...i'll explain in post in another forum more appropriate (b/c I have some very harsh words to say...)
