Well i'm in tears but thought I would write to say our:heart: beloved Mother Chelsie (Lab) has passed. We woke up this morning to find our baby girl dead. Words can't explain the hurt me and my hubby are feeling. Now Chelsies honor will live on in her puppies.

Good-Bye Chelsie, mom and dad will miss you girl!:sad-smiley-002:

Oh honey I am so very sorry, this breaks my heart seeing the poor lady. But, she is in the pups, keep a couple. Time heals wounds, but we never forget, she did you well, looks like she loved you also so very much. I wish you the best and go to rainbowbridge.com today.

Yes we are keeping some, I don't know how many right now but atleast one. I have to keep atleast one to look at it and remind me of our beloved girl. This is so hard....

You will do great. The good thing is that the puppies are in age to eat solid food so you can start, now.Buy some Royal Canin, some Baby Formula 30, food that is done especially for puppies that are starting on solid and mix it with puppy formula.Petsmart sells it.Yr pups should go right for it!.Yr are a great breeder and i'm sure many breeders, here, will help you!.You're lucky to have labs cos they love food and will go right for it.As for the socialization,yr dogs will take on the job to educate them ans socialize them.
Again,so sorry about yr baby.i do hope you will keep more than one cos it will help to ease the pain.Lots of love,Laurie

do what I suggested about what to feed the pups. I have never had a problem with it and it turns to mush immediately. I even use bil jac puppy, which turns to instant much, highly digestable with esbalac to wean my own pups.. and then later- move to raw when they are bigger.

golden&hovawart- thats the problem with this dog food stuff. Every day another shows up.. Its down right frightening. Bil Jac is not made like the others are- its not extruded ( with high temps to kill the water soluable vitamins) or puffed ( ie using grains) etc..

Please don't take it so hard, I know that's easier said then done...I'm sure Chelsie would want you to enjoy, care for, and love her pups (though I'm sure you are already) but you know, I think she's wants you to be happy.:D

That must hurt so bad! :sad-smiley-002: :sad-smiley-002: Honestly I don't have any words for you, that is something that causes such pain in your heart, there is nothing I can write to make the hurt better. Now you have to watch over those little pups and do your best to get them off to to a good start.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful and helpful replies. This forum has helped me some much in dealing with the loss of my dear Chelsie. Without everyone here i would be lost in the world of silence, since this was so hard to deal with. As the days pass and I look at the wonderful little blessings Chelsie has left for me and the world, i understand and feel that everything is and will be okay. Once this happened I felt weak but now i feel strong, and thats to the thanks of ya'll. Chelsie is gone but never forgotten and one day me and her puppies both will meet her once again above. She will be waiting at the gate, wagging her tail with such delight.
We miss our beloved Chelsie but her memorizes are in a special place in my heart, and there they will stay for all of my life. :o
Thanks everyone!;) :D

Oh okay...sorry didn't understand. Well not really, taking care of 7 pups at 3 weeks old is hard. But i'm strong and everything is getting better now. My hun has been taking shifts with me so we can both get sleep. So it isn't so bad now. The first two days was rough, but everything seems to be okay now.;)
