Here we are in Alabama. Trying to relax and enjoy ourselves. Yesterday the kitty was laying out in the backyard. I thought that she was just enjoying the sunshine and watching the birds. Last night after dinner I saw that she was still in the backyard in the exact same place. Oh no, this can't be good. I went out to get her, she was limp when I picked her up. I put her on our bed and noticed that her right back paw was swollen and bloody. I thought maybe she had pulled out her claw but the claw was still there! We threw her in the car and rushed her to the emergency vet. She had an absest. Poor puddy tat! They gave her setatives, pain meds and antibiotics. It is looking much better. She is eating and drinking and even came out from under the bed to visit. That's a good sign!

poor thing!!! glad you noticed that something was wrong, and glad she got treated quickly, hope she gets well soon!!! did they say how it could have happened?

Geeessss Honey I am so sorry this happened to your pet but all sounds well now for the kitty and you Thank God for this. God Bless and hope this never happens again for first thing I would think of is the tainted cat n dogs foods we are feeding our pets.

Glad everything is okay now. She should be good as new in a day or two but sounds like she is already coming around. Great News!! Trust me i know how you feel. I had a case of the hurt leg with my cat Max a couple of weeks ago.

Poor girl! Glad she's feeling a little better now that she's had some treatment & meds. Sounds like all will be well once she's healed.

She is feeling better. The paw is back to almost normal size. She was good enough this morning to fight her medicine!:) They don't know what caused it. Maybe a bite or wood splinter. The first thing I did think about when I noticed that she wasn't well was her food because she has some food that we keep at this house and I had put it in a plastic container so I couldn't remember if I had her normal food it in.

We are back from vacation now and Comet is doing much better. She even started coming out to play with the doggies while we were still there. She is on antibiotics for 2 more days but her paw is back to normal. Poor kitty has such a hard life! She hates taking her medicine!
