Snakes

i was wondering how many of us keep snakes,:) i have two corns a creamsicle and a snow corn,pilchard is my male hes 3 ft and 2 years old very friendly and the kids play with him,and hee likes nothing more than to hang round my daughters neck,snowy is the female and a bit grumpy but shes fine at 2 ft and growing:)

No, no snakes for me. I'm very scared of them, and also i don't need one for myself theres lots around my yard. lol

My husband does...a 3 foot ball python....and let me repeat myself....."MY husband does & not me"!!!!....yuck!!!! :rolleyes:

huuby used to have one, he had a 6ft red tail boa, i had an iguana anda rescued pygmy rattlesnake (it got hit by a car i think) and i kept it in a very secure glass tank with a mesh cover and rocks to hold the top on, but other than that no snakes yet, we want one but not till the kids are older and big enough to understand how to be around them and handle them.

I used to have two - a chain King Snake and a cornsnake. I re-homed them when I went travelling (the King Snake was getting quite old and crotchety) and haven't had one since. I actually went looking in the reptile section of Petsmart a couple of weeks ago and became quite enamoured of some skinks. The look my hubby was giving me made me think twice though, lol!

I think I might think about reptiles again when my incoming child is older, just for the educational value.

When I was a kid, I had a boa (much to my mother's displeasure) & I have a friend who has an 11' Burmese Albino Python.

Snakes are awesome but I'll leave keeping them as pets to others. I think they're totally cool ... but don't think I'd enjoy going back to the days where I watched them feed on a regular basis.

I would LOVE to own a snake one day. To me they are amazing creatures and I adore them! All snakes, all shapes and sizes. :D Even the highly venomous, like the Black Mamba, King Cobra, Coral Snake, etc. :p

I like medium sized snakes. Like 2ft-3ft. I don't have one though. I don't think I would be able to feed it...

I dooo! I have a Ringeck Snake. They are small. Buuut, I want a python or something larger. =)

Heh. That's actually how I inherited my cornsnake. My friend thought they were fabulous creatures but she got one when it was quite small so she had to feed it pinkies.

Well, she wouldn't. We were living together so she made ME feed it (I'm the heartless one I guess?). When we got our own places she decided she couldn't feed it on her own, so I ended up with one cornsnake :)
