Hi All,
A while back I had posted that we were going to consider getting a puppy. However we have now homed a rescue dog called bouncer (we are changing his name to barney tho). Hes lovely. He is black and white with a little grey. hes around a year to 2 years old and hes a softie. My older male dog seems to like him however there is alot of dominance humping going on - men :drunken:
Hes settling in though we are currently trying to introduce him to our 4 rats haha :p :D
Will get some photos posted once hes settled in a bit more. Oh i forgot to say we think hes a JRT X. Not sure.

Hi All
Sorryi have not posted its just that my 4 rats live in the computer room and barney has yet to overcome the terrier urge to eat them  Im sure (i hope) he may learn to ignore them.
At present i can hear him downstairs in the kitchen whining as that is where he sleeps at night. He does sleep well but he doesnt cope well to start with and we are doing our best to ignore him. He is a soft caring loving chap who at 18 months old is sometimes a little too much for our10 yr old yorkie to take.
Barney bounds up to banj and barks in a playful manner, banj takes one look and growls at him to go away. Theres no aggression its just a hint that at 10 he doesnt want to bound around the garden being chased by a long legged furry jr x!! :p
I think barney has taken a shine to banj and i think deep down banj quite likes barney he just wants to make sure barney knows whos boss. I will try and get some photos on here tomorrow but hes beautiful and a real softie pantS!! :wubsmiley:

The best thing we ever did was getting Oscar, he was a rescue dog.

Waggy, I've been off the forum for some time, and I just wanted to say congrats on the new addition! I remember way back when you were thinking of buying a purebred JR...and I'm surpised (but glad!) that you decided to adopt/rescue a JR. That's wonderful :applaud:
We adopted Shelby 3 years ago as a pup (she was 8-10 wks old) and we have absolutely NO regrets whatsoever...well, maybe one...we should have adopted her sister too! :D
