View Full Version : ZoomGroom(Kong), Any good?
I was wondering if anybody here tried or is using that brush for their pet.

I read some reviews and they say it's a fantastic brush and very good for the dry skin.

Depending on your dog's coat, it could be a good tool. I couldn't see using to do any "real" grooming on my golden retriever but as a tool to just go over the coat it might be OK. It could be great for short-haired dogs.

GreyhoundGirl uses it. She brushed Colbi with it when I brought her over. It works extremely well! You can hear the static when you brush with it. :D
You can just ask Michelle (GreyhoundGirl) about it if you want.

Yes, I agree. Colbi is a short-haired dog that sheds a lot, so it works really well on her.
Oh thank!
Will look at it! look for a price too:p

It is EXCELLENT! I would recommend it to ANYONE with a short-to-medium haired dog. You can hear the static work while you brush and it pulls out all the hair from underneath your dog's coat. Just a few miuntes and you can see the fur flying away.
NOTE: Much of the fur does not stay in the brush, it comes out but goes flying away. Bear this in mind and brush outside, or vacuum afterwards.
I use it on Jenny every day for 2 minutes and the difference is incredible. I could never find a brush that worked so well on my girl's short, shirt greyhound fur. The house was covered in hair! I originally bought this brush for my grandma's cat... He needed brushed, so I bought Tripod a very gentle brush (just to get used to brushing... he could work his way up)... It wrked GREAT on him!!! Wonderfully! Only thing is, I tried it on Jenny and got addicted to it... So I brought that one home and gave grandma money to go buy another copy of my gift for tripod... :p
It's so simple, but don't doubt it... I love it. It works really well on Jenny, but I found it worked even better on dogs with a slightly longer coat (like xcolbi's Labrador coat)
Also great factor is it's 100% rubber, so it's VERY gentle. A lot of wimpy dogs that wouldn't tolerate other brushed wiggled themselves silly with the gentle zoom groom.
It is very good for dry skin. It (gross as this may sound) takes off the very top layer of your dog's skin (ei: the dead skin that would just turn into dandruff later). This being said... now you have a brush covered in dead dog skin. I (accidentally) found out the best way to clean the zoom groom. lol. Chuck it into the washing machine. It's 100% rubber and it gets fully cleaned with the load of laundry.
Ask me anything about it!
I'm going to buy it lol. My vet said to brush Daisy everyday. Look alot simple with this brush and will remove dead skin.
Thank you! :)

I know this post is a bit old but we bought one of these and they are great for our puppy (short/med hair). They especially work great in the shower. We get her all lathered up and then used that and it really works the hair out and geting the shampoo all the way to the base of the hair.

My cats love theirs :D When I get it out, I instantly have a lap full of 3-4 cats wanting to be brushed! They all have medium-length coats, similar to a Maine Coon Cat.
