Wow! That's a loaded question. They are so very different. What does he like about those specific breeds? Has he researched the breeds? That's what is most important here.

The breeds are so drastically different maybe if you listed what he likes about each of those breeds, members would be more able to comment in reference to their knowledge of those breeds.
and he hadgood experience
ammerican bulldog are protectiv and and i love them and they are sweet and dobes are the same just difrent personality and my dad loves them

I would say if the dog is for you, get the Bulldog & if the dog is for your Dad, then go with the Doberman.
