My dog is TERRIFIED of kids

My dog is terrified of kids. I'm not sure what the trigger was, but I tried to socialize her with kids when she was a very young puppy. The problem is, I don't have any kids or know any kids that could work with her. I am trying walking her around a playground, and seems fine with that, but FREAKS when she sees a kid at the dog park (NOT the place for young kids) or even outside of the fence.

Has anyone delt with this problem successfully and/or have any advice?

Kids are loud, and with puppies I think it's a bit much for them. Penny shys away from Christian and even growls at him when he gets too loud. Maybe that's it? Kids can also be aggressive. It may be different with every breed though!

try and get ur kids to be quit and the let them strook ur dog and then in time ur dog will get 2 know ur kids and then possible come outy of the shyness if not then take her to a dog training school near u

Kids nowadays I'm sometimes terrified of them never mind the poor dogs.

LOL! As a third grade teacher, I agree! My students aren't that bad yet, but I have heard stories from friends who teach higher grades!
