My dog cut her paws

My dog cut her paws running on pavement today. I didn't realize at first that she cut them. I thought she was tired from the exercise but she was limping so I took a look at her feet. Her big pad is cut on three of her feet and she keeps licking them. What should I do? Do I need to take her to the vet? I gave her benedryl to try and help with the pain.

Meg skinned all four paws whilst on holiday. I cleaned them with salt water and used antiseptic ointment, followed by baby socks which she had to wear for the remainder of the holiday.

This would probably be ok if they are just tiny cuts. Any deep cuts I would be straight to the vet, especially on the feet where so many nasty germs can cause infections.

Howarth is right.
And I would not give pain medicine to your doggy.........as cruel as it might sounds, the pain will help your dog take it easy on those pads. If they don't hurt, she might be tempted to run and play as if nothing was wrong and injure herself even more.
