Hello
I have a yorkie x JR and i do mini ag8ility with her. I have been doing it for about a yr now, and she is ok but really its me who needs the help lol. Does anyone know any good places to get some practise course ideas? I need lotsa practise of cross overs and the harder moves!
Also, i know if i took her to a comp she wud be prob last place lol, but i reeaalllyyy need to take her somewhere different to where she trains for expierience etc, can you just enter a dog in that you know is not going to do very well as a bit of a practise? I have seen quite a few near me (oxfordshire area) and am v tempted to enter her but dont wanna b told if when she is not v good at it yet!
ANY advise wud b greatly appreciated!

i have the same problem as you with the cross overs, and it me more then my dog. i do agility with my golden retriever mix lilly in 4-H. if you learn any helpful please let me know. i only get to practice with my dog lilly in agility once maybe twice a week so dont feel bad. most of the other kids in my county have there own equiment and i dont. lilly just loves and has such a positive attitude about it. she is also very toy motivated. she loves geting tennis balls and tug toys as rewards.

If you live in a big city, try looking for other clubs and see if they have a drop in agility nigth. Attend a few of those and see how your dogs do.
Good luck!

looks out for family dog shows and things they usually have like a fun agillity so that you can get your dog used to doing agility in strange places. it took me a while to get my yorkie to do agility in diffrent places and i had to take him to loads of places to practise because he would get distracted very easily so i had to travel to all sorts of places to get him used to it from katey xx
