Hi
Anyone else noticed any skin problems after you're dog's been in the sea? I've been making sure my dog has a good wash afterwards to get the salt out but she's itching like a mad thing. Any suggestions on how I can ease things for her?

Suggestions welcome

Although I don't know if it will help in your specific case, oatmeal based dog shampoos are excellent for helping with itchy skin. Something along those lines may well be worth a try.

Well IMO, I have heard if you bathe your dog a lot their skin gets dry, so maybe it's driness, I'm not sure though but it's just a thought...

Good luck:D

There's a shampoo called neem
http://www.theneemteam.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000002.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2ftheneemteam%2eco% 2euk%2facatalog%2f&WD=pet%20shampoo&PREVQUERY=RANDOM%3dNETQUOTEVAR%253ARANDOM%26PAGE%3 dSEARCH%26SS%3dpet%2bshampoo%26TB%3dA%26PR%3d%2d1&PN=Neem_for_Pets%2ehtml%23a12#a12

sorry about the long url - lol - but there is also

Pure Neem Oil
100% pure, cold pressed, wild-crafted Neem Oil.
For severe inflammation or itching, apply directly to the skin for soothing relief. A few drops may also be added to your own pet shampoo.

The other alternative is to take your dog swimming in non-salt water.
